NEMBA is a chapter-based organization, rooted in our belief that our mountain bike community is best represented by local individuals and the trails they ride. With 35 chapters across New England, we collectively represent over 10,000 members and nearly 1,000 riding areas in our region.

Connecticut
Central CT
Central CT NEMBA seeks to unite the community of mountain bikers in by their common interests. We hope to see you on an upcoming ride.
Fairfield County
Dedicated to improving trails for mountain bikers, Fairfield County NEMBA annually contributes over 600 hours of trail building and maintenance. Join us on our next group ride!
Housatonic Valley
Founded in May 2018 to promote mountain biking up and down the Housatonic River Valley in the towns of Newtown, Oxford, Southbury, Seymour, and Woodbury.
Northwest CT
Northwest CT NEMBA is dedicated to developing and maintaining access to sustainable mountain bike trails centered in the Burlington area and extending to the Litchfield Hills.
Quiet Corner
The volunteers of Quiet Corner NEMBA strive to build and maintain sustainable trails for all to enjoy. Here to welcome you is a friendly community and strong support network.
Southeast CT
Southeast CT NEMBA is dedicated to preserving mountain biking. We develop and maintain sustainable trails, ensuring that everyone has access to an enjoyable riding experience.

Belfast Area
Focused on trails, advocacy, maintenance, and organizing events to enhance local mountain biking, Belfast Area NEMBA fosters a vibrant community for enthusiasts of all levels.
Carrabassett Region
Dedicated to the building and maintenance of a sustainable mountain bike trail network in Carrabassett Valley and surrounding areas.
Central Maine
A dedicated and enthusiastic group transforming the growing network of trails in Central Maine. Our mission is to “build it, bike it” for trail lovers like yourself!
Greater Portland
The Greater Portland chapter of NEMBA is on a mission to make the Greater Portland area one of the best places in the country to ride a mountain bike. Join today!
Midcoast Maine
We dedicate ourselves to taking care of the places where we ride, preserving open spaces, and educating the mountain bike community about the importance of responsible riding.
Penobscot Region
The Penobscot Region boasts nearly 100 miles of trails across nine major networks. Our volunteers and land trusts work to maintain and expand the stellar trail access we enjoy here!
Piscataquis County
Piscataquis County is the northernmost chapter of NEMBA. Located in the least populated county of Maine, we advocate for access to mountain biking trails for all to enjoy.
Six Rivers
Six Rivers NEMBA was established in April 2018 to increase the viability of mountain bike trail development in our region through advocacy and education.
Massachusetts
Berkshire
Our members act as liaisons between the highly active mountain bike community and various landowners to promote responsible trail development, maintenance, and usage.
Blackstone Valley
A thriving community, including riders of all skill levels, united by a shared passion for adventure, trails, and giving back to the outdoor spaces we love.
Cape Cod
Cape Cod has over a thousand miles of trails and has become a mecca for mountain biking. We formed in the late 1990s to take care of the trails and promote the sport.
Greater Boston
As the oldest chapter of NEMBA, we have a fantastic membership and boast top notch seasonal group ride series, trail stewardship, and a spirit of inclusivity.
Merrimack Valley
Formed in 1998 to address the needs of the mountain bike community in the Greater Lowell area, the Merrimack Valley chapter works in trail expansion, maintenance, and advocacy.
North Shore
North Shore NEMBA chapter was formed in 1998 and comprises over 30 significant riding areas with many miles of trails open for enjoyable mountain biking.
Purple Valley
We are a local group of riders, outdoor enthusiasts, and experienced trail builders who see untapped potential for a mountain bike trail network in Williamstown, MA.
Southcoast
Inaugurated in Fall 2022, we are one of NEMBA’s youngest chapters, dedicated to promoting responsible trail use and maintenance in a previously underrepresented area.
Southeast MA
Formed in 1998, we are one of the oldest and largest NEMBA Chapters, covering a large geographical region, which means we have a ton of amazing members and trail networks.
South Central MA
South Central MA NEMBA is a community of mountain bikers committed to the creation and preservation of sustainable, responsible, trail usage and access in Massachusetts.
Vineyard
Based in Edgartown, MA, the Martha’s Vineyard NEMBA is dedicated to creating and maintaining trails for mountain biking both on and off island.
Wachusett
Wachusett NEMBA got its start in Leominster State Forest and now serves a large area in Central Mass. Our region once lacked legal trails to ride, so we advocate for responsible trail use.
Western Mass
Western MA NEMBA serves Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin County. Nearly all our trails have been built by a dedicated crew of volunteers, offering something for riders of all levels.
New Hampshire
Brattleboro-Keene
Founded in 2009 to better advocate for improved access to trail networks in our region, Brattleboro-Keene NEMBA is also home to one of the region’s best bike skills parks.
Central NH
Central NH supports mountain biking in an area stretching from Concord to the Lakes Region. Each riding area offers miles of singletrack open to the public.
Franconia NH
The Franconia Area NEMBA was founded in 2015 to help steward, promote, and improve the extensive multi-use trail network we have in our beautiful corner of the state.
Greater Wolfeboro
Formerly the Wolfeboro Singletrack Alliance, Greater Wolfeboro NEMBA was established in 2025 to continue providing sustainable, multi-use trails for people of all ages and skills levels.
Pemi Valley
Pemi Valley NEMBA was founded in the spring of 2014 to steward and expand a large network of trails in the Pemigewasset Valley of NH. We are committed to equal opportunity!
Seacoast
Seacoast NEMBA was reformed in January of 2022 to bring a positive and proactive culture to our trail stewardship. Join us for a ride or step up to help organize.
Southern NH
Southern NH NEMBA works with local land managers and organizes trail days to create and maintain epic riding in our region. We love riding with our members, so come ride with us!
White Mountains
White Mountains NEMBA maintains over 100 miles of trails in the Mt Washington Valley. We create sustainable trails, preserve access, and guide the future of mountain biking.
