Greylock-Bring 'em back alive ride!!
Pioneer Valley NEMBA will be joining Berkshire NEMBA for a Mount Greylock Ride on Sunday 1/13.
The ride will start from the end of West Mountain Rd at 10:00 AM.
We're planning a fat bike assault on Mt. Greylock on Sunday, January 13. This is likely a 4-5 hour ride in total duration. This is not for the faint of heart or the inexperienced. Conditions could range from wet, muddy, snowy and icy. Depending on conditions, a fat bike may not be necessary. Studded tires may be needed. There will be no snack bars or coffee shops along the way, bring your own sustenance. I advise all to bring lights in case they are needed. I will send an update once I get some trail condition info.
This is an all day event. Long range weather forecast shows a chance of snow.
Here is the proposed 14 mile course: https://ridewithgps.com/trips/8353447 althiugh it may change depending on conditions.
At the end we will celebrate at the Freight Yard Pub and Restaurant in North Adams MA.
