Bring gloves, water, bug spray and a big smile.

HV NEMBA Rockhouse Hill Trail Building

Housatonic Valley NEMBA will be building trails at the Rockhouse Hill Sanctuary

HV NEMBA has won a $10,000 NEMBA SIgnature Trail Grant. We will be using this money to greatly enhance the trail system at Rockhouse.

These Trail Building sessions will result in a BIG return. 

Meet at 6:00 PM at the end of Perkins Rd. , the nearest cross road is Moose Hill Rd.  

After we have finished our work, we will go for a ride ( bring your bike ).

All are invited. Bring work gloves, snack, bug spray and water. We provide the tools.

Central CT NEMBA West Rock Trail Cleanup & Build

Join us Saturday, March 30 at 9am - noon for a trail cleanup and rebuild of an old trail at West Rock Ridge State Park, Main Street, Hamden, CT.

We will meet in the parking lot at the Wintergreen Lake, Main Street entrance at 9am. Bring coffee and we will supply the donuts and some healthy stuff!

We are reopening an old trail so we will be cleaning it up and rerouting a few portions of it.  If you have rakes, hand saws and loppers, please bring, if not we will supply some tools. Contact Lisa Maloney with any questions, 203 772 5812 or lisa.maloney@yale.edu.  Rain date, Sunday March 31.

HVNEMBA has permission to ride on new, private, machine built trails built by Sinuosity in South Kent.
This is the first of its kind trail system in CT.
Intermellow pace, good for fit beginners also.
Enjoy the rollers and berms!
Approx . 8-10 miles or a couple of hours riding.
You must preregister and sign a liability release to get directions to trails.
Great way to start the new year!
Bad weather or bad trail conditions may cancel.

Adult intermediate and expert, juniors intermediate to expert, no drop. We will split into groups ranging from fast and furious to intermediate, intermellow, social, antisocial, dawdling and diffident.
Not beginner friendly territory.
A bike clear of mechanicals and a fitting helmet is a must, as are plenty of snacks and liquids, tools, a correct size spare tube, and temp appropriate breathable sheddable packable clothing.

Please bring your works gloves, safety clothing/equipment, tools, and muscles to help support the Town of Lyme Open Spaces re-route a section of the Goodwin Trail in Hartman Park. We will provide a detailed planned as we approach the work day but tasks will involve trail closure of the previous trail route, re-blazing (using Goodwin Trail placards), and potentially some limited trail development. 

Please meet in the vicinity of the powerline right of way and we will direct volunteers to work zones.
