NW CT NEMBA Kids & Family Rides

Date

5/22/16 (All day) to 9/25/16 (All day)

NW CT NEMBA will be hosting a series of Kids and Family rides on the fourth Sunday of every month from May through September.

The locations will vary, but last minute details will be available on our Facebook page.

We'll meet at 10am and we'll get rolling as soon as everyone is ready. Please respond if you're planning on coming so we know to wait for everyone.

Participants should be able to ride a bike without training wheels, and, as always, everyone must wear a helmet. The pace will be slow, with plenty of stops for re-hydration and snacks. We'll ride 1-3 miles or so, depending on the group.

You do not have to be a NEMBA member to join the ride. Read more about NW CT NEMBA Kids & Family Rides

NW CT NEMBA Burlington Trail Work Day

Date

5/21/16 9:00am

We will be continuing our work on the reroute at the bottom of the Bridges trail.  Our goal for this work day is to finish up this trail, so we will need all the help we can get! The day will begin at the cul-de-sac on the western side of GW Turnpike, at 9am. Parking at this location is somewhat limited, if enough people show up some shuttling to the near by soccer fields parking lot may be required. Please don't block the road, or green forest access gate when you park. The work site is a short walk down old GW Turnpike, past the gate. Please wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. You should bring water, work gloves, bug spray, and a snack. If you have a Rogue Hoe, McLeod, Pick Mattock, or any other hand tools suitable for benching trails you are welcome to bring those as well.
