Manuel F. Correllus SF, Edgartown
At 5300 acres Manuel F. Correllus State Fores occupys a large portion of the center of Martha's Vineyard.
There are about 14 miles of trails in the forest, including a paved bike path that links to many additional parking areas.
The bike path circumnavigates the western part of the forest. See Map.
The dirt trails include miles of wide fire roads and some singletrack trails.
The forest also hosts a disc golf course.
Manny is the center of trails activity on the island as can be seen on the map.
In season there is hunting at Manuel F. Correllus. But not on Sundays.
At the time of this writing the trail system is undergoing renovations and an updated map will be posted when the work is completed. A draft of that map is above.
The forest surrounds the Martha's Vineyard airport on three sides. The airport was carved out of the forest during World War II for an auxillary Naval air facility.
