Whiskeag Trail Bridge Work

On a recent Sunday a few volunteers from Six Rivers NEMBA met up to perform some much needed maintenance work on the Whiskeag trail. A bridge had been slowly sinking on one end due to erosion. The solution was to extend the bridge length with new stringers placed under the existing decking. The sinking end was raised and the new joists slid in and bolted in place. The end result was a sixteen foot bridge, level and on solid ground.
A similar project awaits further east on the Whiskeag and a work day will be posted for any interested volunteers.
