Fall Riding / Hunting Season

It's that time of year again when we share the woods with active hunters. Hunting is permitted on many of our trail systems so it is IMPORTANT to follow these guidelines:

• Know the dates and laws for Hunting Season in Maine.
• Wear blaze orange all fall.
• Consider riding during the night with lights. Hunting is prohibited after sunset.
• Avoid riding at dawn and dusk, the most active times.
• Be courteous to hunters you encounter while out on the trails.
• Obey all specific closures (e.g. the Mitchell parcel/Deliverance Trail).
• The only riding area we cover that does not have any hunting is Neptune Woods, in Brunswick, so go ride there during hunting season!
