The 2026 CVTrails Mountain Bike Plan Is Here
Two years of regional collaboration have arrived at a trail network worth celebrating.
After two years of planning, collaboration, and community-driven effort, the 2026 CVTrails Mountain Bike Trail Development Plan has officially arrived, and it’s a milestone worth celebrating for riders across the Carrabassett Region and beyond.
IN THE WORDS
“We are excited that two years of work has culminated in this comprehensive plan. It is a testament to the strength of the regional collaboration between CRNEMBA, the Town of Carrabassett Valley, Maine Huts & Trails and Sugarloaf Mountain to the benefit of the trail network and the mountain biking community.”
— Val Levanos, CRNEMBA Chapter President
The plan represents more than a vision for new trails, it’s a product of genuine partnership across four distinct organizations, each bringing their own expertise and commitment to shaping the future of mountain biking in western Maine.
Partners Behind: CRNEMBA + Town of Carrabassett Valley + Maine Huts & Trails + Sugarloaf Mountain
The Plan:
Regional trail planning at this scale is rare. When multiple stakeholders align around a shared vision: land managers, local government, trail advocacy, and a ski mountain, the result is a network built to last, with broad community buy-in from day one.
Congratulations to CRNEMBA and the entire Carrabassett Region for continuing to build on their thriving outdoor community. The trails ahead look very good indeed.
