Description

The Presumpscot River Preserve and Oak Nuts Park are located in Falmouth and Portland.  Together they form what we refer to as the Presumpscot River Trails.

Entry to the trail system is at Oak Nuts Park.

Looping in and out of the woods the trails feature many short challenge sections, many well built bridges and lots of scenic views of the Presumpscot River. The trails on the north side of the river area bit more challenging. But there's nothing that the average rider can't handle.

Departing from the local norm there are very few rocks on these trails. But some sections may be impassable during the high water periods of early spring. Poison Ivy can overtake some trails by mid summer, be cautious.

The Presumpscot River Trails are a lot of fun to explore. Locals are out on the trails every day of the week and you'll also see plenty of dog walkers.

There's an alternate starting area at 125 Bridgton Rd in Westbrook.
