NEMBA is a grassroots, volunteer-focused organization – we need you to get involved and help make mountain biking better in your neck of the dirt. Volunteer with your local chapter. Help us steward and take care of the trails we ride. It's because of your help that NEMBA is one of the leading trails organizations in New England.
"How do I get involved?" Simple. Contact your local chapter president and let him or her know you are looking to lend a hand. Each chapter has a schedule of rides, trail care events, social events and chapter meetings, and new faces are always welcome.
NEMBA is many things to many people and there are lots of ways to get involved. But the most basic way is to come to one of our events. Check out the events listing for your chapter and come to one. We put on scores of trail work days and you don't need any prior experience since our trained crew leaders will guide you through our project and you'll learn a lot in the process. Usually trail work runs until noon and most events end with a brief lunch and a ride.
Many NEMBA chapters have monthly meetings and all members are welcome to attend. Most are informal get-togethers that combine business with socializing, and this is where most NEMBA activities get organized and planned. This is also where key access and advocacy issues in your area are hashed out. If you don't see a current listing for your chapter on our events page, contact the chapter president and inquire.
