Kona Bicycles MTB Adventure Ride at Dubuque State Forest
Sunday, July 22 (All Day - registration is 9am-11am)
Join the Pioneer Valley chapter of NEMBA for a marvelous day of riding on the newly-approved trail system in the Kenneth R. Dubuque State Forest in Hawley, Massachusetts. This is the first ever mountain bike event on these trails, so, unless you're familiar with the area - everything you ride will be new! All proceeds will go towards maintaining and improving the trail system, which offers over 30 miles of mountain biking trails, ranging from mellow woods roads to challenging singletrack. Come out and explore the forest with us while helping a good cause!
Marked Courses: Riders can follow marked courses on their own. Ride fast or just cruise, the trails are arrowed so everyone knows where to go and you don’t have to worry about getting lost.
Led Rides: There will be two led rides starting at 11:30 a.m. Harold Green will lead a mellow-paced ride and Marc Lombard will lead a 1.5-2.5 hour ride depending on pace and group size.
Cost: $10.00 for NEMBA members, $25.00 for non-members and FREE for anyone who joins NEMBA at the event. Kids 15-and-under ride for free with a registered Parent/Guardian
Bonus: All attendees can present their wrist bands at Thunder Mountain on the afternoon of the 22nd for a half-price ticket!
Directions: The ride will start at the Hawley Fire Station on Plainfield Road.
